Scarless or near scarless augmentation of the breast is one of the most popular procedures to proportionalize and enhance body shape for females from age 18 and up. Although the breast completes development at an earlier age, usually body disproportion with the development of larger hips and thighs prompts many young women to opt for this enhancement.

The approach popular at this time is through the axilla (armpit), leaving the breast scarless by placing the access site remote from the breast. It allows for anatomically correct or non-disruptive placement of the breast implant usually below the pectoralis major muscle layer, so that there are several layers of coverage.

Another approach is through the "belly button" known as the TUBA (Trans Umbilical Breast Augmentation). This is possible through the advances of endoscopic breast augmentation which builds on the now established technique of tissue expansion to minimize scarring even further.

There are many advantages to these techniques, including that the patient may usually shower the next day as well as resume most customary activities. Most importantly, since there is only a bellybutton or armpit incision, there are no breast scars, no long-term loss of sensation, and no silicone gel.

Dr. Pober, a world-renowned expert in primary (first time) breast surgery, also is called upon to correct breast surgery gone wrong.  His successes in this field are so widely recognized that he was invited to the "Sally Show" to discuss the treatments he offers to help those afflicted with botched breast augmentation and reduction surgery. His primary breast augmentations have also been featured on "9 Broadcast Plaza", "The Sally Show", "House Party", and other television shows. These shows focused on celebrities and fashion models who underwent breast augmentation to enhance their otherwise flawless physiques. When there are truly challenging cases involving breast reconstruction following mastectomy, Dr. Pober is also called upon, as noted on the "Maury Pauvich Show" and "The New York Post".

With respect to breast lifts for the appropriate candidate, Dr. Pober uses a small crescenteric (half-moon shaped) excision (removal) above the nipple to simply lift this aspect with no visible scar, except along the upper aspect of the areola (the colored ring around the nipple). For higher lifts for his selected patients, Dr. Pober completes the "circle lift" around the nipple, still limiting the scar to the nipple areola region.

Similarly, for breast reduction for the properly chosen candidate, Dr. Pober combines pinhole liposuction techniques and around the areola (circle lift) incisions, leaving the breast mass essentially scarless.
