Dr. Pober, a recognized leader in lipocontouring, helped pioneer the newest technique of multilayer tumescent liposculpture for contouring facial and body shapes for all ages. Although liposuction is not a technique for weight loss, Dr. Pober does not deny the benefits of modern lipocontouring technology to the obese patient. For the overweight patient, the modern technique of ultrasonic assisted liposuction (UAL) is offered.

Most commonly, his combination of surgical skill and artistic talent has enhanced the shape of fashion models and bodybuilders as noted by "Women's Exercise". As quoted in "Hampton's Magazine," "even very thin women and girls will retain pockets of fat on the thigh, around the knees, in the abdomen - areas that don't respond to most aggressive diet and exercise. This idea was also highlighted on "The Oprah show". The show featured a patient in his forties, an avid weightlifter that, until Dr. Pober, had been unable to achieve the definition he sought. After liposuction by Dr. Pober, he compared favorably with bodybuilders in his twenties.

"New Woman" magazine featured Dr. Pober's surgical technique for resculpting the lower extremity in their article "Legs: When it comes to sex appeal, the legs have it." It was noted that when Dr. Pober artistically performs lipocontouring by removing unwanted fat and transferring it to other areas where it was needed for contour enhancement, "it is like sculpting the perfect leg out of a block of wood."
